I’ve Been Dreaming About Apples

Fall and apples go hand in hand, don’t they? Yes, pumpkin is everywhere but even it doesn’t seem to make it through November. Apples, however, carry through the Winter Holidays adding their particular sweetness and tartness (either or both).

In past years I made P. Allen Smith’s Apple Cake but this year I am not sure what I want to do with that bag of apples in my fridge. Bisquick’s Impossibly Easy French Apple Pie recipes is an old favorite – perfect if you are short on confidence for making a crust or time in general.

Mary Katherine’s Table has quite a few apple recipes, too. Several I’ve never tried making myself. Check out her channel to see what she’s offered.

Applesauce is another Fall treat that can be eaten anytime of year and it is easy to make, too.

Now is a good time to take advantage of Farmer’s markets and such especially if you have a lot of fruit growing in your area.

I do enjoy pumpkin but I have a suspicion that apples will be on my table a lot in the next few months.
