As a rule, I like rainy weather. A nice, gentle rain can be quite soothing and peaceful. Lately, however, we have had all kinds of rain, very little of it quiet or peaceful.
I’m contemplating my next grocery shop. I plan on restocking next week, so I am contemplating what I have on hand, what I am in the mood for, and what strikes my fancy. I’ll be honest, I wouldn’t mind a big fruit salad. All the talk recently about berries and shortcake have made their mark. LOL!
I am also thinking about a nice pork roast that can be munched on for several days over several dishes. From the basic roast and potatoes to taco or burrito filling to mix with scrambled eggs, to toss with pasta and sauce, there are quite a few options. It will depend upon what I find in the market.
It doesn’t hurt that I caught Cheryl’s weekly What’s For Tea over on YouTube. Lots of interesting goodies in her grocery shop! I also caught See Mindy Mom and appreciated her quick meal ideas. Sometimes I find I just want something familiar but new…if that makes any sense at all.
In the meantime, on this rainy Saturday, I am thinking waffles for dinner… Add some bacon on the side and I feel a smile on my face. Simple. Tasty. Easy. Dinner!
